VICTORIA, Seychelles-U.S. servicemembers conducted training with Seychelles coast guard personnel at Seychelles Coast Guard headquarters on Aug. 14, 2008.
U.S. sevicemembers from Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa and USS Halsey (DDG-97), were asked by SCG to provide training in visit, board, search and seizure tactics, especially for non-compliant situations.
U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer Stuart Cravens, a member of CJTF-HOA, Maritime Engagement Team, said the SCG already has some experience with VBSS procedures.More
