DOD ONLINE SMALLPOX TRAINING
Continuing Education Credits

We have teamed with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) to offer
Continuing Education Credits (CME, CNE & ACHE) for completion of our on-line smallpox training programs.
This credit is available after completing entire segments of training which includes viewing a set of
presentations and scoring 100% on the post-tests.

Continuing Education for Physicians

The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) is accredited by the Accreditation
Council for Continuing Medical Education to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
USUHS designates this educational activity for a maximum of 22.5 category 1 credits toward the
AMA Physicians Recognition Award. Each physician should claim only those credits that he/she actually
spent in the activity.

Continuing Education for Nurses

This educational activity for up to 27 contact hours is provided by the Uniformed Services University
of the Health Sciences (USUHS), which is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by
the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.


All presenters of the Department of Defense Smallpox Vaccination Training have indicated that they have had no significant financial relationships with a commercial entity whose products/services are related to their topic subject matter.

PROJECT IMMUNE READINESS

The Project Immune Readiness program offers continuing education (CE) credits for nurses and physicians. Earn 2.0 credit hours per course; with 26 courses available, that’s up to 52 credit hours. Other accreditation opportunities are being pursued and will be available soon.

Continuing Medical Education Credit for Nurses (CNE) - Contact Hours
The Walter Reed Health Care System has awarded this educational activity 2.0 contact hours per course. There are twenty-six training courses available, so you can earn up to 52 credit hours. The Walter Reed Healthcare System is approved as a provider of continuing education in nursing by the Army Nurse Corps, which is accredited as an approver of continuing education in nursing by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
