Feds Feed Families logoFederal agencies are collecting food nationwide in June, July and August under the Feds Feed Families program.  Food banks around the country are facing severe shortages of non-perishable items, just as summer leaves more children without school nutrition programs. Federal employees nationwide are stepping up to meet this challenge by gathering food for families in need.

Bird Flu virusThe Office of Health, Safety and Security has posted pandemic influenza information, including the H1N1 FLU (Swine Flu) and the Avian Flu, along with Human Capital Guidance for Employees and Supervisors.

Update on Influenza (Swine Flu)
The U.S. Department of Energy has been informed by the CDC and the Maryland Department of Health (DHMH) that 3 "probable" 2009 H1N1 influenza (swine flu) cases identified within the State of Maryland and announced on April 29, 2009 were associated with and secondarily infected by a DOE employee.
