How long does it take before a candidate is picked for a position?

It takes approximately 8 weeks from the announcement closing date to complete the application review process depending on the number of applications received. Vacancies advertised as "Open until Filled" are normally hard-to-fill due to unique requirements and can take several months to be filled.

Can I be considered for more than one position?

Yes. You should submit a separate application package for each position.

Is my resume kept on file for future openings?

No. You should submit an updated application package when you wish to be considered for a new vacancy.

What forms are required for application?

There are no mandatory forms but you should consider supplementing your resume with an attachment addressing each of the position requirements listed on the vacancy announcement. Find out more about How to Address Position Requirements.

Do I have to address the Executive Core Qualifications even if I am already a Federal executive?

No, but you may wish to update your executive qualifications with more recent examples of your accomplishments.

Will I be a part of the Senior Executive Service?

No. Our executives are not part of the "Senior Executive Service", but are still Federal executives, like executives at other excepted service government agencies.

Do you hire executives from the private industry?

Yes. We search diligently to find the best executives to lead our workforce. Our executives include senior leaders from public and private industry.
