TVA is nuclear and a whole lot more. We are the nation's largest public power company. We generate 156 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity with our energy fleet: three nuclear plants, 11 coal-burning fossil plants, 29 hydroelectric dams, combustion turbine plants, and renewable energy sources (green power). That's enough to serve 8.7 million people and fuel industry in the Tennessee Valley.
