The Governmentwide Accounting and Reporting Modernization (GWA) Project addresses the central accounting and reporting functions and processes associated with budget execution, accountability, and cash/other asset management. This includes the collection and dissemination of financial management and accounting information from and to federal program agencies. It also includes the business processes in FMS that are related to ledger accounting for each appropriation, fund, and receipt account's Fund Balance with Treasury, General Ledger accounting for the cash and monetary assets of the Government, and the preparation of the Monthly Treasury Statement and the U.S. Government Combined Statement and Appendix. In addition, GWA will improve information timeliness and accuracy to support improved financial analysis and decision-making.
April 20, 2009 - Mandatory User Recertification
Beginning the week of April 20th, GWAMP will be conducting its annual User Recertification for all GOALS II and GWA Application Users. The recertification process and procedures will be emailed to your Certifying Official and/or Supervisor within the next week. Failure to return the requested information will result in access removal from the system.
** Please Note: GOALS II and GWA users who failed to complete the recent Security Awareness Training (SAT) will not be on the list of users to recertify. Users not reflected on the list that still require access to either systems, will need to re-enroll. These users can contact the Treasury Support Center at 877-440-9476 for assistance. **
