ASM-AO  Chemistry & Metallurgy Research Facility Replacement (CMRR) Project

Procurement - Bid Packages

Bid Package Information:  RLUOB

The CMRR Project intends to select between multiple vendors for a single purchase order for fabrication of the build-to-print designed enclosures. The CMRR Project plans to competitively solicit and select between bidders for all of the push-through gloveports to achieve compatibility.  The successful gloveport supplier would provide the initial set of push-through gloveports for RLUOB enclosures to the supplier that is awarded the glovebox/open front fabrication purchase order.

The CMRR Project also plans to competitively solicit the Double-Door Transfer Systems (DDTSs) in both facilities to achieve compatibility.  The successful bidder would provide the initial set of DDTS for RLUOB enclosures to the installer that is awarded the RLUOB Equipment Installation (REI) subcontract.

Requests for Proposal (RFP) will contain terms and conditions, scope of work, applicable quality requirements, and, dependent upon the scope, safety and security requirements.  An approved quality assurance program meeting the requirements of DOE Order 414.1C, Quality Assurance and 10CFR830, Subpart A, Nuclear Safety Management, Quality Assurance Requirements through implementation of the applicable requirements of ASME NQA-1-2000, Quality Assurance Requirements of Nuclear Facility Applications (Parts I and II), will be necessary.  The type of evaluation for each solicitation will be detailed in the Instructions to Offerors included with the RFP which is established with awards based either upon best value or the lowest price technically acceptable methodology.

Award of the purchase order for the fabrication of gloveboxes and open front boxes is anticipated after the CD 2/3 approval for RLUOB Equipment Installation.
