Judiciary - Immigration
Representative Waxman believes that strong action must be taken to secure our nation’s borders to guard against acts of terrorism and rein in unlawful entry into the U.S. He supports Congressional efforts to increase funding for border patrol and enforcement, invest in technology to counter immigration fraud and counterfeit documents and enhance sanctions to deter and punish employers that knowingly recruit and hire illegal immigrants. Representative Waxman believes comprehensive immigration reform is necessary to meaningfully address the economic, social and homeland security risks presented by large undocumented immigrant populations.
