FOIA Annual Reports

The Freedom of Information Act requires every Federal agency to submit a report to the Attorney General of the United States annually (pursuant to 5 U.S.C. 552(e)(1)), providing detailed information concerning its administration of the Act.

The IRS submission is incorporated into the Department of Treasury’s annual report each year. The 2008 link accesses the final Treasury FOIA Annual Report, which details the reporting of each bureau within the agency, including IRS.  For prior years, the links access the IRS submission to Treasury for that year rather than the final Treasury report.
