IP-Enabled Services; Implementation of Sections 255 and 251(a)(2) of The Communications Act of 1934, as Enacted by The Telecommunications Act of 1996: Access to Telecommunications Service, Telecommuni-cations Equipment and Customer Premises Equipment by Persons with Disabilities; Telecommunications Relay Services and Speech-to-Speech Services for Individuals with Hearing and Speech Disabilities; The Use of N11 Codes and Other Abbreviated Dialing Arrangements. CGB finds good cause to extend for one year (until 6/29/10), the current limited waiver of section 64.604(a)(4) of the Commission's rules, to the extent that the rule requires traditional telecommunications relay service (TRS) providers to "automatically and immediately" call an appropriate Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) when receiving an emergency, 711-dialed call placed over an interconnected VoIP service. CGB find good cause to extend the 6-30-09, date for the end to the permissive calling period during which Internet-based TRS providers may continue to complete the non-emergency calls of unregistered users. TRS providers may continue to complete such calls until 11-12-09.
