Science As It Happens - Time-Lapse Videos
Time-lapse videos for sandbars, or beaches, below Glen Canyon Dam affected by the 2008 high-flow experiment can be viewed from the links below. The videos document the fate of the sandbars before, during, and 6 months following the experiment.

The U.S. Geological Survey has created time-lapse videos for 10 sandbars, or beaches, below Glen Canyon Dam affected by the March 2008 high-flow experiment. The images were taken during an approximately 30-day period, starting before the experimental release and continuing until several weeks after its conclusion.
