  • Baltimore is an eclectic and fun city, with a lot of different attractions for everyone. If you are traveling with your family, or just want to explore your inner child, there are some great places to visit. These include Port Discovery (http://www.portdiscovery.org/)-an interactive children’s museum and indoor playground, The Maryland Science Center (www.mdsci.org), which constantly features amazing traveling exhibits, is fun for kids and adults alike, and of course the world-famous Baltimore aquarium (www.aqua.org). For those who prefer fine dining, live music and fun pubs, then the newly-expanded Waterfront, Fell’s (or Fells) Point and Canton are the places to visit. Baltimore also boasts some wonderful art museums ranging from the classical (Baltimore Museum of Art-http://www.artbma.org/) to the truly unusual (Visionary Arts Museum-www.avam.org).

We hope that in addition to an excellent scientific exchange at the SBHA, you also find the time to enjoy our enchanting city, and see why we call it Charm City!
