Governor Rell Announces Low-Interest Loans for Farm-related Businesses Affected by Spring Frost
  Governor M. Jodi Rell announced that federal disaster loans are available to agricultural cooperatives, small businesses and private non-profit groups in Fairfield and Litchfield counties that suffered losses from frost and freezing weather this past spring.

Regional Catastrophic Planning Grant – Job Opportunities
  The State of Connecticut is participating in the Regional Catastrophic Planning Grant (RCPG), which is a U.S. Department of Homeland Security-funded, multi-state initiative involving New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Connecticut. The purpose of the program is to improve regional catastrophic preparedness through three primary objectives: (1) fix shortcomings in existing plans, (2) build regional planning processes and planning communities, and (3) link operational and capabilities-based planning to resource allocation. All work under the RCPG is directed by the NY-NJ-CT-PA Regional Catastrophic Planning Team (RCPT) and administered through Public Health Solutions, Inc.
