IntelliDriveSM Policy and Institutional Issues Research Plan and Roadmap Workshop

The U.S. Department of Transportation’s (US DOT) Intelligent Transportation Systems Joint Program Office (ITS JPO) invites participation in an IntelliDriveSM Policy and Institutional Issues Workshop on September 2, 2009  from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM in Detroit, Michigan.  The purpose of the workshop is to review and solicit comments on the details of the five-year IntelliDriveSM Policy and Institutional Issues Research Plan and Roadmap.  After a high-level overview of the Plan and Roadmap, the US DOT staff will present on the work plan for the individual tracks with time left for discussion on each.  The intended outcome of the workshop is to understand:

  • Whether stakeholders find that these documents form the analytical foundation that will guide and deliver a set of relevant recommendations by 2013;
  • Whether the identified work robustly supports the IntelliDriveSM research and facilitates deployment
