Application Procedures for LANS Regular and Limited Term Employment
LANS Regular is an employee whose employment is of indefinite duration. A regular employee receives LANS benefits. A regular employee can be full- or part-time.
LANS Limited Term is a regular employee who is hired for 6 months to 2 years (with a maximum appointment total of 3 years) and is eligible to receive LANS benefits. A limited term employee can be terminated at will.
Craft workers may apply to internal postings effective June 1, 2009.
Application Process

- Complete all fields in the online application.
- Use the Cover Letter text box to address your skills, knowledge, and abilities relevant to each of the required/desired skills and the educational requirements. Taking this extra step will ensure that you receive optimal consideration during our screening process.
- Use the Resume text box to create your résumé or paste in an existing résumé.
- To ensure that you and lanl avoid any potential conflicts of interest, all current/former Government Officials must read and respond, if applicable, to the LANL Applicant Disclosure Form (pdf). If you are a current/former Government Official, a completed LANL Applicant Disclosure Form (pdf) must be submitted before your application can be processed.
