TVA Employees to Build Wheelchair Ramp During Disability Awareness

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – TVA will celebrate Disability
Awareness Month by partnering with the Center for Independent Living
of Middle Tennessee to build a wheelchair ramp in Nashville on October
23.
TVA employees will donate their time and skills to construct
a 70-foot ramp in the Waverly/Belmont area of Nashville. TVA is donating
funds
for three ramps in the Nashville area.
The Center for Independent Living of Middle Tennessee
provides information and referral, independent living skills training,
advocacy and peer support
to accomplish
its mission of empowering persons with disabilities to gain their vision of independence.
