eLandings Workshops set in Anchorage and Sitka

Employees from NOAA Fisheries and the Alaska Department of Fish and Game are holding community workshops in Anchorage and Sitka on eLandings, an electronic fish and crab landing reporting system. The system feeds fisheries information from shoreside processors to federal and state fisheries agencies in Alaska, plus the International Pacific Halibut Commission.

The one-day, hands-on workshops are designed to help shoreside processors understand the nuts and bolts of reporting electronically through eLandings. The new system has proven efficient: processors report a fisheries landing once in eLandings, instead of reporting to separate systems for state, federal and international agencies.
