ACTION TRANSMITTAL

TO: STATE ADMINISTRATORS OF STATE PUBLIC WELFARE AGENCIES, CHILD WELFARE SERVICES STATE GRANT PROGRAM

SUBJECT:(1) Potential Reallotment of Unused Funds from Regular FY 1980 Budget; and (2)Apportionment to States and Territories of funds for Fiscal Year 1980.

CONTENT:(1) No funds are available for reallotment from the regular FY 1980 budget. (2) The Congress has approved a supplemental appropriation for fiscal year 1980 of $9,650,000 for the Child Welfare Services State Grant Program.

Expenditures and awards for these funds may be made during either FY 1980 or FY 1981.

ATTACHMENT: Attached are: (1) a State table showing the revised apportionment of Federal Child Welfare Services State Grant funds and (2) New Conditions Related to Child Welfare Services State Grants.

ACTION REQUIRED: Each State and Territory is required to submit to the appropriate Regional Program Director for ACYF, a revised Annual Budget (CWS-2) and a request for Grant Award (CWS-10) covering the additional funds to be received.
