Influenza A H1N1 Outbreak Gateway® Entry Clones Now Available - June 5, 2009

The NIAID-sponsored Pathogen Functional Genomics Resource Center (PFGRC) and Genome Sequencing Center of Infectious Diseases (GSCID) at JCVI are pleased to announce the availability of 29 Gateway® Entry Clones from two 2009 H1N1 Influenza A strains (A/New York/1669/2009(H1N1)) and (A/New York/1682/2009(H1N1)) sequenced by the GSCID at JCVI on May 8, 2009.

For each strain, both CDS (start to stop open reading frames) and full segment clones with UTRs are available in the pDONR221 Invitrogen Gateway® Entry Vector. The UTR containing clones are especially valuable for viral protein expression and processing. In addition, protein expression clones have been constructed in a variety of vectors (In vitro, E.coli, Mammalian, Bacculovirus) and will be available beginning June 5, 2009 with additional clones being made available as they are sequence verified.

The PFGRC is making the Influenza A Gateway® Entry Clone Resource available to the research community free-of-charge as individual clones or clone sets. Please visit the PFGRC Invitrogen Gateway® Entry Clone Resource (non-Government link) to view the list of available strains and subtypes as individual clones and for detailed ordering instructions.
