2009 Interagency Disability Educational Awareness Showcase (IDEAS)

IDEAS is a General Services Administration (GSA) event that focuses on partnering industry and education with government to meet the requirements under Sections 504 and 508 of the Rehabilitation Act. This year's conference will take place from October 5-6, 2009 in Washington, DC. Registration for the conference is free.

National AT Reuse Conference

This conference, Shaping a National Collaborative for Assistive Technology (AT) Reutilization, will take place from September 15-17, 2009 in Atlanta, GA. The conference will recognize the accomplishments of Reuse Programs across the nation, and showcase innovative strategies that reuse programs have found to work. Wireless Emergency Communications State of Technology Conference

This conference, which will take place from September 21-23, 2009 in Atlanta, GA, will examine the potential of wireless communications technology for improving support and assistance for persons with disabilities before, during and after a natural or manmade disaster.

2009 Technology Innovators Conference

This conference, being held November 16-17 in Washington, DC, will focus on learning and assistive technologies for all students. The theme is "Educational Futures - Powered by Technology"

National Summit on Disability Policy 2010

The National Council on Disability (NCD) is seeking people with disabilities, individuals representing grassroots organizations and others to help shape disability policies and programs for the next decade. Deadline for submitting application to attend the summit is October 15, 2009.
