Great Plains ADA Center (DBTAC)

This Disability & Business Technical Assistance Center (DBTAC) provides training, information and technical assistance on the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and accessible information technology (IT) to people in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska.

Iowa Client Assistance Program (CAP)
Advocates for and informs citizens of all services and benefits available to them through programs authorized under the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. CAP staff can investigate, negotiate, mediate and pursue remedies to ensure that clients' rights are protected.
Iowa Department of Human Rights
Promotes equal access to work, services and opportunities to enhance the well being of Iowa's diverse populations.
Iowa Division of Persons with Disabilities
A 24-member commission appointed by the Governor to equalize opportunities for full participation in employment and other areas of the state's economic, educational, social and political life for Iowans with disabilities.
Iowa Protection & Advocacy Services
A federally funded program that will protect and advocate for the human and legal rights that ensure individuals with disabilities and/or mental illness a free, appropriate public education, employment opportunities and residence or treatment in the least restrictive environment or method.

U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) - Milwaukee Area Office
Enforces federal laws, including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), that prohibit job discrimination. The Milwaukee Area Office has jurisdiction over the States of Iowa and Wisconsin.
