Office of the City Administrator Releases 2005-2007 Recycling Report

(Washington, DC) – The Office of the City Administrator (OCA) today released the Public Report on Recycling for Fiscal Years 2005-2007. The report highlights the District of Columbia’s major accomplishments in improving residential and commercial recycling programs, promoting environmentally preferable purchasing and waste prevention and recycling efforts in District government buildings. The District has reached a 40 percent recycling diversion rate with the introduction of its Multi-port/Mini-bin pilot program in four core government buildings: John A. Wilson Building, Frank D. Reeves Building, One Judiciary Square Building and the Henry Daly Municipal Building.
