Tropical Storm Edouard made landfall in central Florida late in the day on September 4, 2002. Soon after the storm weakened to a tropical depression with winds of only 25 miles per hour. The event can be seen in this true-color image taken on September 4, 2002, by the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS), flying aboard NASA's Terra spacecraft. The storm is expected to dump 2 to 4 more inches of rain on the region.
