Kent D. Buckham is
the Director of the Office of the National Examination Team (NET). As NET Director,
Buckham is responsible for the supervisory oversight of select large, complex and/or
problematic federally insured credit unions.
Buckham joined NCUA as an examiner in 1976. He has served as supervisory examiner,
deputy regional director, associate regional director of programs, supervision director
and deputy director in the Office of Examination and Insurance, deputy executive
director and deputy director and director of the Office of Corporate Credit Unions.
Buckham holds an accounting degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
NCUA created the Office of the National Examination Team (NET) in 2009 to provide
supervisory oversight to large, complex and/or problematic federally insured credit
unions. The NET is an essential component of NCUA’s overall focus on strong proactive
regulation and the priority the agency places on safety and soundness.
