Imperative to document safety hazards

(Following is a message from the UTU Safety Task Force)

Due to a large volume of reports from our members regarding unsafe conditions and safety violations, we are providing the following guidelines on the values of documentation. (A link to an earlier safety alert on documentation is provided at the end of this message.)

Put PTC safety first, labor tells FRA
As the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) works toward having effective safety regulations in place for the operation of positive train control prior to its 2015 congressionally mandated implementation, the agency is reaching out for feedback to its early proposals.
