Today, May 27, 2009, the Sunport began a major renovation project on the escalators leading from the ticketing level to the gate level. Over the next six months, all four escalators will be completely replaced. The work will be done in pairs, leaving only one up and one down escalator at any given time. The elevators and stairwell will be available alternatives, but passengers are asked to allow a few extra minutes during the construction.
