The Commercial Service in Serbia welcomes and encourages you to explore business opportunities in this still rapidly developing area of the Balkans.  As with any transformational economy, there are risks and rewards.  As such, the Commercial Service re-established its presence in June 2001 and has continued to increase and strengthen commercial ties between the United States and Serbia.  To help you tap the potential of this market, the Commercial Service offers a wide range of services of the U.S. Department of Commerce to assist U.S. companies in doing business in Serbia.  The Commercial Service is ready and willing to provide counselling and other services, such as matchmaking, market research, advocacy, and commercial diplomacy for U.S. companies in terms of understanding the market situation as well as to identify opportunities and partners in Serbia.  Activities of the Commercial Service also cover the neighbouring country of Montenegro, which declared its independence on June 3, 2006.
