RE: OCSE's 19th National Child Support Enforcement Training Conference

Dear Colleague:

I would like to invite you to the Office of Child Support Enforcement's (OCSE) 19th National Child Support Enforcement Training Conference to be held at the Renaissance Washington Hotel in Washington, DC, on November 2-4, 2009. The theme for this year's conference is Dollars and Sense: Child Support in a Changing Economy. Please join us and other child support professionals and partners for workshops and plenaries that enhance our ability to better serve the families and children of America.

With a changing economy worldwide, this is a particularly important time for our Nation, the States and Tribes, and the families we serve every day. Together, I know we will continue to make a difference in the lives of children because of our commitment, resourcefulness and ingenuity. This is the focus of our 2009 conference.

Tentative Agenda

This conference is designed for all State, local, Tribal, and Federal child support professionals and partners who work with us in serving families. Our plenary sessions will include the new Administration’s perspectives, including how TANF Reauthorization could impact the child support program, the forthcoming OCSE Strategic Plan for 2010-2014, as well as other hot topics that affect child support. As the attached tentative agenda indicates, the conference will offer a wide variety of workshops on topics important to the child support enforcement community. We will showcase a variety of successful and innovative ideas and practices from across the country that can make a difference in your program and community.
