Calderon Administration Committed to Challenging Corruption
Statement by Ambassador Antonio O. Garza
Mexico City, November 21, 2008 - “Today’s actions by Attorney
General Medina Mora demonstrate how seriously the Government
of Mexico is taking the challenge of rooting out narcotics-related
corruption. President Calderon has taken firm measures to
combat corruption within his law enforcement agencies, and
his administration has shown the fortitude to follow the fight
against narco-trafficking and organized crime wherever it
may lead.
