Proton Therapy for Prostate Cancer.

I''m a radiation oncologist. Protons offer a
significant benefit in several oncologic
situations. Prostate cancer is not one of those
situations.

Unfortunately, however, I do believe prostate
cancer treatment with protons significantly
offsets the lack of reimbursement in the other
clinical situations where protons are needed but
not reimbursed.
