Public Law 110–423, signed October 15, 2008, requires that Federal employees receiving their pay by electronic funds transfer shall be given the option of receiving their pay stubs electronically.
Most agencies already provide electronic leave and earning statements to employees through e-mail or automated self-service solutions. For agencies that have not already implemented an electronic statement option for employees receiving their pay through electronic funds transfer, this option should be made available to employees as soon as possible.
