Robin Morey graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 1989, with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering which concentrated in Thermal & Fluid Science. Robin began his career as a Mechanical Design Engineer for the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Maryland, working on numerous facilities design and construction projects. In 1994 he was promoted to the position of Mechanical/Electrical Branch Manager where he was charged with the design and design reviews of all facility projects for the Naval Surface Warfare Center. In 1997 Robin was selected to serve as the Utilities Division Director responsible for the maintenance and operation of all utility systems for the Naval Surface Warfare Center. In 1999 Robin began his career with the Architect of the Capitol as the Chief Engineer of the US Capitol Power Plant. In 2002 Robin joined the team at the Senate Superintendent's Office as Deputy Superintendent and was promoted to Superintendent in 2006. As Superintendent Robin is responsible for the day-to-day structural, mechanical and domestic care of the Senate Office Buildings consisting 2.5 million square feet of office and meeting space.  Specific responsibilities include operations and maintenance of Air Conditioning Systems, Electrical Systems, Elevator, Fire/Electronics, Furniture, Senate Health and Fitness facilities, Inventory Management, Masonry, Painting and Refinishing, Pipefitting-Plumbing, Service Center, Sheet Metal, Subway, Upholstery, Special functions set up and Wood Crafting.

Robin is also a commissioned officer in the District of Columbia Air National Guard.  He was Distinguished Graduate of the Academy of Military Sciences in 1993. He is currently a Major and is Chief of Operations in the 113th Wing, Civil Engineering Squadron. Major Morey has served numerous active duty tours and most recently he supported Operation Enduring Freedom in the Middle East during a Presidential call up. From 1990 to 1999 Robin was an adjunct faculty instructor at the College of Southern Maryland teaching basic mathematics, college algebra and trigonometry.
