The Audit Committee of the Architect of the Capitol (Architect) was established in April 2003. The five-member Committee was created to provide an independent review of the financial statement audit process, to assist us by reviewing and making recommendations regarding the evaluation of independent public accountants, coordinating the internal and external audit services to assure effective use of audit resources, and the review of internal controls, financial statements and auditor findings.
The Audit Committee meets at least four times a year.
Additional information on the Audit Committee, their responsibilities, structure and framework, can be found in the Audit Committee Charter.
