CancerSPACE
CancerSPACE (Cancer: Simulating Practice and Collaborative Education) is a unique educational tool created to help clinics improve their process for cancer screening. It is designed for use by the health care staff of approximately 1,300 federally qualified community health centers (FQCHCs).
Most Americans Do Not Know When or How Often To Get Cancer Screening Tests
While most Americans know that mammograms, pap smears, and colonoscopies are screening exams for cancer, the majority of Americans do not know the appropriate age at which initiation of these tests is recommended, according to the latest brief from the Health Information National Trends Survey (HINTS).
Proteomics and Cancer
This NCI fact sheet describes proteomics (the study of proteins and how their quantities, modifications, and structures change in response to the needs of the body or in disease) and proteomics research. Scientists hope that this research will help find new ways to diagnose cancer early, identify the best treatments for individual patients with specific types of cancer, and determine whether cancer has come back (recurred) after treatment.
