This interactive Workshop included experts from OPM (Angela Bailey, Deputy Associate Director, Center for Talent and Capacity Policy) and TMP Government (Ellis Pines, VP, Branding) who discuss how to find the talent your Agency needs. In this workshop you will learn how to apply your agency’s brand and mission identity to the contracting employment opportunities within your agency, find the ideal point where your agency’s needs and the job candidate marketplace intersect, and come away with a proven methodology for conveying the message that government acquisition is a hot place to be in 2009 and into the future. Workforce Planning: Workshop Video
This interactive workshop included experts from OPM (Glenda Henchka, Program Manager for Program Evaluation for Alternative Personnel Systems and Evelyn Snyder, Human Resources Consultant, Human Resources Consulting Program) that can help you “Ensure the Right People with the Right Skills are in the Right Place at the Right Time.” We invite you to learn how you can reach out to and attract your share of the talent pool. The goal of this workshop is to aid agencies in more effectively forecasting workforce and work trends, assessing current deficiencies, and implementing appropriate interventions to meet immediate and future needs to accomplish agency missions. Hiring Authorities Available to the Acquisition Workforce: Workshop Video
This interactive workshop included Jason Parman, Western Group Manager, Human Resources Consulting Program, OPM, who addressed the hiring flexibilities available to the acquisition community, and Stephen Shih, Chief, Center for Equal Employment Opportunity, OPM, who addressed EEO issues surrounding these hiring flexibilities. Additionally, a panel of acquisition and human resources professionals discussed their experiences using these flexibilities and provided you with a hands-on approach for using them.
