2009 Pricing Conference

The Deputy Director, Cost, Price and Finance (DPAP) hosted the 2009 Department of Defense Pricing Conference May 4-6 in Orlando, FL. The conference was attended by nearly 300 attendees representing the Departments of Army, Navy, and Air Force, many Defense agencies and numerous civilian agencies.

The conference agenda included expert speakers and panelists addressing DOD’s progress in re-invigorating the pricing function, updates on recent legal and regulatory developments affecting pricing, and refresher training on pricing techniques and methods. In addition to presentations, conference attendees had the opportunity to ask questions and exchange information with the gathered pricing community. Overall, the conference proved a great place to exchange ideas, learn new things, and network with other cost/price analysts and contracting professionals. Acquisition Workforce members earned continuous learning points (CLPs) by participating in the entire conference.
