IAW REF A, COMPLETION OF LAMS IS NOW A REQUIREMENT FOR ADVANCEMENT TO FIRST CLASS PETTY OFFICER (E-6). THIS REQUIREMENT APPLIES TO ALL ACTIVE DUTY AND RESERVE SECOND CLASS PETTY OFFICERS (E-5S). 2. THE LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT CENTER (LDC) IS SOLICITING REQUESTS FROM UNITS INTERESTED IN HOSTING LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SCHOOL FROM UNITS INTERESTED IN HOSTING LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SCHOOL (LAMS) ON-SITE EXPORTABLE TRAINING FOR FY-10. LAMS IS A UNIQUE 5- DAY COURSE WHICH DEVELOPS LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT SKILLS FOR FIRST-LINE SUPERVISORS THROUGH EXPERIENCE-BASED CURRICULUM. ALL SUCCESSFUL LAMS GRADUATES WILL EARN 3 UPPER-LEVEL COLLEGE CREDITS IN ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT FROM THE AMERICAN COUNCIL ON EDUCATION (ACE). LESSON TOPICS INCLUDE COMMUNICATION, ETHICAL DECISION MAKING, MOTIVATION, STRATEGIC LEADERSHIP, PERFORMANCE APPRAISAL, AND PERFORMANCE PROBLEM SOLVING.
