Workforce Investment Act (WIA)
Formerly known as the Job Training Partnership Act (JTPA), this program
is funded by the respective state Department of Human Services or equivalent
state agency. Eligibility criteria is based on U.S. citizenship (or national)
and income. High school and college students are eligible to work under
this program if they or their families meet the eligibility requirements.
