The Federal Clean Air Act is one of a number of pieces of legislatin relating to the reduction of smog and air pollution in general.
The District has been working with the California Air Resources Board to reduce the emission of smog-forming pollutants and toxics from mobile sources. These include both on and off-road sources such as trucks, buses, heavy-duty construction equipment and recreational vehicles.
