U.S. Army Engineers Bring Sewage System to Fallujah, Iraq

The first municipal sewage system in the ancient Iraqi city of Fallujah is nearing completion. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Iraqi engineers and workers have overcome multiple hardships to move this system to operational status by the end of 2009.

European Muslim and Jewish Leaders Visit America

A delegation of European imams and rabbis spends five days in Washington and New York in July for visits to promote interfaith understanding. This group included influential Jewish and Muslim spiritual leaders from Britain, Belgium, France, Holland, Italy, Switzerland, Norway and Russia.

July 4 Event Showcases Muslim-American Service, Patriotism

Americans of all backgrounds celebrate freedom, democracy and patriotism each July 4, Independence Day. On July 4, the Council for Advancement of Muslim-American Professionals sponsored an event to honor the patriotism of Muslim Americans who serve their country in a variety of ways.
