Research Report: A comprehensive account of trends and findings related to NEA-funded arts disciplines, to arts participation generally, or to arts access or artist employment. Typically contains original research and detailed statistical analyses.

Research Notes, or white papers, are specialized analyses of topics of interest primarily to arts and cultural researchers, policy-makers, and administrators.

A fold-out pamphlet that conveys original NEA research findings in a series of bullet points, graphics or highlights. Designed to communicate immediately with the layperson on research affecting the broader public, and, potentially, public policy.

Published Research reports and final reports of projects conducted by contractors and grantees of the Research Division on deposit in the Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC).
