New training resources have been developed and delivered through the Alliance
Program’s participants.
Training Resources: Alliance Program participants are
developing best practice seminars which they are presenting to OSHA’s National,
Regional, Area Office, State Plan State and On-site Consultation program staff
around the country. Examples of this training include:
- National Association of Home Builders Seminar "How to Build a House”
- Industrial Truck Associations’ Best Practice Seminar, “Man, Machine and
Environment”
- Altec, Incorporated’s “Mobile Crane” Best Practice Seminar
In the last two fiscal years (FY 2007 and FY 2008) 57 training events have
taken place reaching over 5,300 participants.
Speeches: As of September 30, 2008, this fiscal
year: representatives of OSHA’s National Office, Regional, and Area Offices
participated in 103 speaking engagements reaching over 16,100 participants.
During FY 2007, representatives of OSHA’s National Office, Regional, and Area
Offices participated in more than 109 speaking engagements to over 14,500
attendees on or related to the Alliance Program. Alliance Program participants
also make presentations or exhibit at safety and health related conferences.
Exhibits: OSHA conducts outreach for the Alliance
Program by exhibiting at conferences. As of September 30, 2008, this fiscal
year; OSHA exhibited at 47 events with over 28,300 attendees visiting the
exhibition booths and more than 614,000 total event attendees. In addition,
OSHA provided publications for distribution at 17 National Alliance Program
related events. During FY 2007, OSHA exhibited with National Alliance Program
participants at 67 events with almost 15,500 attendees visiting the exhibit
booths and more than 374,000 total event attendees.
