    TEXT VERSION OF SLIDE:

Title: The Alliance Program's Impact on Workplace Safety and Health
    Content:

"Perhaps the most important success of the Alliance Program, and the OSHA and Safe Tank Alliance, is the paradigm shift in how the relationship between industry and government is perceived and being recast as a model of partnership and collaboration…. The shift has become evident in the way the petroleum industry engages with OSHA. In the past there was little dialogue and both parties shared only information relevant to the issue at hand. The OSHA Alliance Program has knocked down those barriers. There is an honest and open sharing of lessons and experiences that each party can take back and incorporate into their standards of operations."

    Bill Erny, API
Member of the OSHA and Safe Tank Alliance
Partnerships in the Oil and Gas Industry, September 2006
Publication of the International Petroleum Industry
