ACT Visiting Scholar to Discuss the Effects of College on Students

Photo of Patrick T. Terenzini IOWA CITY, Iowa—Patrick T. Terenzini will discuss research into college education on Tuesday, July 15, at 9:30 a.m. in Conference Room D009 at the ACT Conference Center. Terenzini’s presentation is titled, “Turning Trees into a Forest: Conclusions from 35 Years of Research on the Effects of College on Students.”

During the last 35 years, researchers have examined a wide array of college influences on a broad range of student outcomes. But what does it all mean? Terenzini will present an emerging conceptual framework that seeks to answer that question.

Terenzini is a distinguished professor of higher education and senior scientist at the Center for the Study of Higher Education at Pennsylvania State University.
