Students Recognized for Top ACT Scores

WHAT: Nine Southern California students who achieved top scores on their ACT tests were honored by the Dodgers. Jack O’Connell, state superintendent of public instruction, honored nine Southern California students who earned a top score of 36 on their ACT exam.

Santa Barbara High School, Santa Barbara
Walnut High School, Walnut

San Dieguito Union High School District, Encinitas

WHY: Earning a top composite score of 36 on the ACT college admissions exam is an exceptional achievement. These students achieved a 36 on the on the ACT during the 2007–08 testing cycle completed through February 9, 2008. A 36 is the highest possible composite score. About 57,000 California students have completed the test through February 9.
