Alaska ShoreZone Advanced Website Instructions

Configuring Internet Explorer for the ShoreZone Site

ShoreZone Home

Due to recent updates in Internet Explorer, you may need to change some Internet Explorer security settings to make the advanced ShoreZone site work correctly. Additionally, if you have any popup blockers active you need to disable them, or set your popup blocker to allow popups from this site.

To change your Internet Explorer settings:

  • Click on Tools on the Internet Explorer menu bar.
  • From the drop-down, select Internet Options.
  • A dialog box will come up. Click on the Security tab of this box.
  • Then click on the Custom level button.

You will see a box containing a long list of settings. You need to make the following changes:

  • Under Downloads, set Automatic prompting for file downloads to enable.
  • Under Miscellaneous, set Use Pop-up blocker to disable.
  • Under Scripting, set Allow status bar updates via script to enable.
  • Under Scripting, set Allow websites to prompt for information using scripted windows to enable.

Once these steps are complete, please proceed to the Alaska Shorezone website.
