The North Pacific Groundfish Observer Program maintains a field office in Anchorage, Alaska. The office is located in the Federal Building Annex in downtown Anchorage. There are seven Observer Program staff in the Anchorage office, as well as two special agents from NMFS Enforcement. The staff are primarily involved with coordinating support for observers in the field, debriefing observers, providing assistance to the North Pacific Observer Training Center and coordinating Community Development Quota activities with the NMFS Regional Office.
