Observation of the Top Quark

In a research paper, submitted Friday, February 24 to Physical Review Letters, the CDF collaboration reported the observation of top quark production in proton-antiproton collisions at the Fermilab Tevatron particle accelerator.
The CDF collaboration presented its results at a scientific seminar held March 2nd at Fermilab.

These results confirm the previous publication from CDF which reported the first evidence for the top quark in April 1994.
