Construction Commission (PCC)

The PCC is in charge of implementing Taiwan’s GPA and monitors the execution of Taiwan’s major projects through its Government Procurement Information System. PCC also provides an arbitration mechanism for dispute settlement between procurement entities and bidders.

Our office interviewed PCC’s Department of Planning director, Mr. Su Ming-Tong, who is in charge of drafting Taiwan’s Government Procurement Act since it was promulgated in May 1998. In this interview, Mr. Su discusses the business opportunities, including the market value, benefits, and prospective sectors for U.S. companies to bid on now Taiwan is a GPA member.
