Administrative Instructions

Administrative Instruction No. 29 provides subject program policy and requirements, including the types of awards, a description of the awards, the eligibility and nomination criteria, submission formats, and processing procedures.

The Director of the Human Resources Directorate serves as the Executive Secretary of the Incentive Awards Board.

Labor and Management Employee Relations (LMER) administers the Department of Defense Honorary Awards Program to include all preparations for the annual Department of Defense Distinguished Civilian Service Award ceremony and reception.
